Tigers in My Back-yard

H50xW50cm

Acrylic Painting, Silkscreen Printing, Gold Foiling & Stitchwork on Canvas

From the 1800s to early 1900s, tigers once roamed freely in Singapore. Frequent tiger attacks prompted the colonial government to offer rewards for every tiger killed. The last tiger was shot and killed in 1930.

Now, the only tigers that roam Singapore are the ones on our Tiger Balm and Tiger Beer cans.

The Black and White Bungalow in this artwork is located at 3 Adam Park.
