Predominated by magenta pinks, this artwork was inspired by the bright bougainvillea flowers that can be found all over Singapore. Shophouses are known to contain beautiful garden courtyards. In these intimate spaces, I would imagine beautiful Peranakan tiles, a hanging birdcage and many bright blooming flowers.
The Shophouse artwork is reflective of Singapore culture and heritage. Shophouse buildings can be found all over the island. These stately buildings are a wonderful expression of the blending of a work and living space.
