"Gatsby Nights" is a commissioned piece specially created for a family residing in a beautiful Black & White house at 3 Mount Pleasant. 
Surrounded by lush tropical flora such as palms and ferns, this grand old home has been a witness to many glamorous parties and gatherings over the years. Overhead, a string of red Chinese lanterns sway in the breeze, giving the artwork a festive atmosphere. Architectural elements of the home - like the arched windows and wrought iron gate are extracted and re-emphasised on the right of the artwork. The appliquéd Batik fabric is a nod to Singapore’s vibrant and colourful culture.
